Shah Rukh Khan to be banned for life from entering Wankhede

Various Report points that "Shah Rukh Khan to be banned for life from entering Wankhede". . Srk ne kal rat kkr ki victory ki khushi me daru pi ke wankhede stadium pe danga kia.. :punish: Now he is :ban: for lifetime by MCA. :D Shah Rukh Khan, owner of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, has been banned from Mumbai's Wankhede stadium while an inquiry into an alleged brawl he got into last evening is conducted. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), which hasissued the ban, alleges that the popular actor abused and misbehaved with security personnel and its officials after a match against the Mumbai Indians. The alleged scuffle happened when the actor and his entourage were stopped from going on to the ground after the match, which the Kolkata Knight Riders won. The MCA alleges that Shah Rukh was drunk. The ban means that Shah Rukh Khan will not be seen at the Wankhede for any match till the inquiry is completed. There has beenno comment yet from the Bollywood star. The MCA, which administers the stadium, has lodged a police complaint; it says a security guard was manhandled by SRK's entourage. But sources say the guard's injuries are minor, which means that the complaint is likely to be treated as non-cognizable. As part of the inquiry initiated intothe incident, the statements of Wankhede staff and officials of the MCA will be recorded. No decision has been taken yet on whether Shah Rukh Khan will be called for recording his statement. He (Khan) misbehaved and abusedthe MCA security personnel as well as MCA officials, including our president Vilasrao Deshmukh, after the IPL match (between KKR and Mumbai Indians). We have decided to ban him for life from entering the stadium in future, MCA treasurer Ravi Savant said, adding SRK was dead drunk.

Sachin Tendulkar retires hurt after being hit on finger in IPL 5 inaugural match

Sachin Tendulkar retires hurt after being hit on left-hand finger in IPL 5 inaugural match. when he tried to fend off an ugly snorter from Chennai Super Kings bowler Doug Bollinger in the IPL 5 opening match on
Wednesday.

However it is not clear yet that it is fracture or a simple bruise.

It was the fifth ball of the ninth over, Tendulkar who was batting on 15 faced a short ball from Bollinger. It climbed onto him as the ball hit one of the green patches and reared up uncomfortably. Tendulkar could just fend it off as it hit him on the glove. The iconic batsman however faced the next delivery and got a single to go
onto 16. However at the end of the over, he sought medical attention. But
after being advised to retire, Tendulkar was seen returning to the dug-out looking inconsiderable pain. He had scored 16 off 15 balls with a four and a
six off Albie Morkel.

Bollywood actress Nupur Mehta, who was a part of the Sunny Deol-starrer Jo Bole So Nihal, denies match-fixing link - The Times of India

source : times of India
Bollywood actress Nupur Mehta, who was a part of the Sunny Deol-starrer Jo Bole So Nihal, confirmed on Monday that the picture splashed across newspapers and TV channels in cricket-playing nations was hers, but denied any link with the match-fixing case of semifinal match between India-Pakistan in World cup 2011.

Nupur Mehta said she was a cricket fan like any other but had nothing to do with the match-fixing case.
The actress also threatened to sue the UK newspaper Sunday Times for first using her photograph. "I am really hurt and considering legal action against the paper for using my picture," Nupur told mediapersons.

Bookies, however, said they were not surprised at a Bollywood starlet's name cropping up in the latest controversy surrounding cricket and match-fixing.
"A bookie's face is known to the cops and people in the cricketing world, so we use B and C-grade Bollywood actresses to reach cricketers. They work on the cricketers' likes and dislikes by bribing staff carrying drinks to cricketers on the field, or at times even the hotel staff where the team is staying. Accordingly, we plan the package for them," said a bookie.

'Sachin not recommended forBharat Ratna' -Hindustan times News

Source : Hindustan times
Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar's name has not been recommended for the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna by the sports ministry, according to media reports. The sports ministry has sent the names of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand and mountaineer Tenzing Norgay forthe award this
year.
Recently the scope of the Bharat Ratan had been expanded to include exceptional services or performance of the highest order "in any field of human endeavour", thus sportspersons could also be chosen now for the award. Earlier the awardcould be given only in fields like arts, literature, science and public service.
Last month, press council chairperson justice Markandey Katju had said that giving Bharat Ratna to cricketers and film stars, who have"no social relevance", is a "mockery" of the award.
"People are talking of giving Bharat Ratna to cricketers and film stars. This is the low cultural level to whichwe have sunk. We ignore our real heroes, and hail superficial ones," he said against the backdrop of the demand for conferring the coveted award to batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar and hockey legend Dhyan Chand.
Talking to reporters, Sports Minister Ajay Maken said that the sports ministry has forwarded all the names recommended by the sports federations for the award and BCCI did not send any name for consideration.
