Royal Challengers
Bangalore
player Chris
Gayle celebrates the
wicket of Kings XI Punjab batsman
Paul Valthaty during their IPL match
in Bangalore.

After a blazing ton, Chris
Gayle took three wickets to help
Bangalore thump Kings XI Punjab by
85 runs in their IPL match at the M
Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore
on Friday.
It's been one way traffic at the
Chinnaswamy Stadium and it's been
a one man army that has rattled a
hapless Kings XI line up. It was an
out and out Gayle-day as he did
nothing wrong to produce one of the
best IPL performances so far.
107 runs, 3 wickets for 21 runs in his
four overs - Gayle was absolutely
terrific especially after giving away a
maiden over to Harris earlier in his
innings. Devastating all his way in
the match.
Sreenath Aravind chipped in with a
handy 4-wicket haul to make things
easier.
The Kings XI were poor with the bat,
they never got any partnership
going and they didn't do a great deal
of good to their net run rate with
this massive 85 run defeat.
Kings XI were off to a terrible start as
they lost early wickets in pursuit of
206 runs. Royal Challengers bowlers
romped through the Kings XI Punjab
batting line-up to put them on the
backfoot.
